<<Blogging Too Far>>

Blogging is really complicated.  It requires personal reflection and giving our opinions about something.

However this is very much the opposite of what our employers expect of teachers.  When we accept our salary, we also accept the conditions that come with it - mainly to do what we are paid to do and respect and implement the decisions our employers make.  Having our own opinion about education or publicly discussing our working conditions was once totally out of line, but with blogging and new communication tools, the opinions and individual ideas of teachers are becoming much more prevalent.  It's a tricky situation.

My blog explores the concept of concept of Tacit Knowledge - the mix of personal and professional experience that makes teachers real people with experience and knowledge.

How far can I go?  How much personal information is too much?  Let's find out!
