This was just written in 2011 and compared the US to developing nations like China and India, who are leading the developmental growth we are experiencing in the "race to the bottom" to get the cheapest goods and services in a global market.  It looks at the role education plays and its a fascinating read.  It's easy to read and backs itself up with facts and decent advice.
